Tabloid Tidbits: Saucy salaryman's carnal cache an environmental eyesore

February 10, 2008

A Shizuoka Prefecture salaryman has been arrested for dumping his collection of 1,000 adult movies, reports Nikkan Gendai (2/6).

Police sent documents to the prosecutors accusing the 33-year-old man of breaking the Waste Disposal Law by dumping the dirty DVDs.

He is alleged to have sneaked out late on the night of Nov. 7 last year, driven about 5 kilometers from his home in the city of Kosai and ditched the porn in a huge bundle on a vacant plot of land near the border of Aichi and Shizuoka prefectures.

He admits to the allegations.

"Well, they were porno videos after all. I was a bit scared of dumping them near my home just in case someone saw me doing it and realized what they were," Nikkan Gendai quotes the man telling the police.

Investigation insiders admit a little sympathy for the adult movie aficionado, but say the law's the law.

"The guy loves his stick flicks even more than his food. He'd been gradually building up his collection for quite some time and hiding them in a closet of his home. But one of his kids found his 'treasures' and his wife ordered him to get rid of them," a police source tells Nikkan Gendai. "The guy was really embarrassed that his wife and kids had caught them, so was willing to throw the collection away. But somebody was shocked to find the pile of dirty movies that he'd dumped and reported the discovery to the police. There was just too big a pile of stuff to allow him to get away with it."
